Arrival on the Ganga

We meet you in Delhi and drive you to Rishikesh, where the Ganga flows clear and fast out of the hills. If time allows, join the evening aarti at Triveni Ghat and walk to Lakshman Jhula as the lights come on.

Delhi → Rishikesh · 270 km · approx. 6–7 hrs

Into the Valley of Rivers

Follow the Ganga and the Alaknanda into the mountains, with stops at Devprayag and Rudraprayag, where holy rivers meet. The evening in Guptkashi or Ukhimath, the base for Kedarnath, is for rest before the climb.

Rishikesh → Guptkashi or Ukhimath · 190 km · approx. 5–6 hrs

The Climb to Kedarnath

From Gaurikund, where you may bathe in a hot spring, the path climbs beside the Mandakini river. Walk, or go by doli or pony. Clouds drift through the valley and chants of Jai Bholenath echo around you. The day ends with the evening aarti at the temple.

Guptkashi or Ukhimath → Sonprayag · 38 km by road, then local vehicle to Gaurikund and an approx. 19 km trek

Dawn at Kedarnath

Rise before first light for the Abhishek puja to Lord Kedarnath. Then visit Bhairav Nath Temple or the Rudra Meditation Cave while the valley is still quiet. A gentle walk down brings you to Guptkashi or Ukhimath for the night.

Kedarnath → Gaurikund (approx. 19 km trek) → Sonprayag → Guptkashi or Ukhimath · 40 km by road

Across the Mountains to Badrinath

An early start takes you over the mountain road through Joshimath, where Lord Badrinath is worshipped in winter. Bathe at Tapt Kund, then enter the temple of Lord Vishnu for darshan and the evening aarti.

Guptkashi or Ukhimath → Badrinath via Joshimath · 190 km · approx. 7–8 hrs

Mana, and the Way Down

A second, quieter darshan at dawn. Then visit Mana, the last village of India, with Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa and the temple of Mata Murti, where the Saraswati river meets the Alaknanda. The day ends at Rudraprayag or Pipalkothi.

Badrinath → Rudraprayag or Pipalkothi · 180 km · approx. 6–7 hrs

Return to the Ganga

The road follows the river down through Karanprayag to Haridwar. At sunset, take a holy dip and join the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, a beautiful end to the pilgrimage.

Rudraprayag or Pipalkothi → Haridwar · 160 km · approx. 5–6 hrs

Homeward with Blessings

After breakfast, a comfortable drive to Delhi Airport or railway station. You return home with the peace of the mountains.

Haridwar → Delhi · 225 km · approx. 5–6 hrs
